President – Reena Goldberg

My family and I have been members of Temple David for about twenty years, and we are so glad to be part of such a welcoming and active congregation. My husband and I were married by the previous Rabbi, and our three children have grown up attending services and Weiger Religious School. Through the years we have been inspired by Shabbat services, educated about Jewish history and traditions, and commemorated our family milestones. Along the way we’ve met many wonderful people and developed lifelong friendships. We especially enjoy holiday festivities at Temple David. There is nothing better than celebrating Jewish holidays surrounded by the warmth of our Temple community.

I have been a Board member for over a decade and have had many roles at Temple. I’ve been a Youth Group Advisor, Board Recording Secretary, Religious School Vice President, Sisterhood President, Executive Vice President, and a member of various committees. I continue to be a Religious School substitute teacher and an active member of our Sisterhood. I am honored to now be the President of the Board of Trustees. Our hard working Board members strive for quality programming and continuous improvements in our processes. We welcome new committee members and are happy to train future leaders, so please contact me if you’d like to get involved at reenag@templedavid.org.

In addition to our Board and committees, there are many ways to get involved at Temple David. We have active Sisterhood and Brotherhood groups, which host various exciting programs and provide a great way to meet people. If you have children, Weiger Religious School offers an outstanding Jewish education, including B’nai Mitzvah and Confirmation preparation. Tot Shabbat and PJ Library events are also available for young children. We have many excellent classes for adult learners as well and regular social action opportunities for those who want to help others and participate in charitable projects. You can view our events at www.templedavid.org/calendar, and our monthly emailed newsletter, TD Now, will keep you informed on all the details. Be sure to check our Temple David Facebook page to see some great pictures of recent events.

Once you get involved, Temple David can be a very fulfilling and valuable part of your life and your Jewish experience, as it has been for me. Feel free to reach out anytime to a Board member or to me if you’d like to learn more.
