High Holy Day Resources in the Library:
Browse and Borrow

Fall is a busy time at the Temple David Library. High Holy Day books for all ages are on display now. Grandparents, parents and teachers should look for the Talia books (Talia and the Rude Vegetables and Talia and the Very Yum Kippur). She has a little problem getting the words right but is always an enthusiastic helper.

Adults might be interested in Beginning Anew-A Women’s Guide to the High Holidays (by Gail Reimer and Judith Kates) or The Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur Survival Kit (by Shimon Apisdorf).

The High Holy Day books will be replaced by books on the fall festivals and then can Chanukah be far behind? So keep checking out the library.

Andrea Stanger,
Temple Librarian

Sisterhood College Treats

Each year Sisterhood sends out packages to our college students to reach out to them and stay in touch. These packages go out three times, near the High Holy Days, at Chanukah, and in the Spring.

Please send me your student’s college address so he/she can be included.

Names must be received by Friday, September 7.

Also, let me know if your student will be away for any of these mailings.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Barbara Holst

Please contact JoAnn Lippock at (412) 824-4944 or joannl@templedavid.org
