We hold healing services periodically. These are more intimate services lead by Rabbi Symons using prayers she has compiled.
We hold a combination Mincha Ma’ariv (afternoon and evening services) and Havdallah service about once a month during the winter months. This is combined with a pot luck dinner that generally has a theme tied to the Torah portion. Rabbi Symons reads Torah during this service.
The Pittsburgh eastern suburbs come alive at Purim time at Temple David. Everyone (children and adults) are encouraged to dress up and there are greggars (noisemakers) for all! We read from the Megillah and there are hamentashen for all at the end of the service. In addition, either on Purim or in close proximity we have put on a Purim Spheil which is always very funny and we hold a Purim carnival on the Sunday closest to Purim.
