Preparing for the High Holy Days
Shalom! Well, it is that time of year when your mailbox will be bombarded with TD mailings. Please look everything over carefully and if you have questions, please reach out to the contact person listed.
Here are a few items to remember:
- Watch the deadlines. I get quite busy a week or so before the holidays, which means there may not be enough time to get things mailed to you.
- Tickets will be mailed to you at least two weeks prior to Rosh HaShanah.
- The 2022-23 Yizkor book will be mailed to each family prior to Yom Kippur.
- If you need a HHD Prayer book, they will once again be in the front lobby along with a sign out sheet.
- PLEASE: always read your bulletin and watch for your weekly e-mail for changes and updates to the calendar and events.
Please remember to stay safe, healthy and be kind!

Shalom!
It has been a long time since I wrote a note to all of you. So let’s catch up. The Reinhardt family is doing well. Our oldest daughter did contract COVID, so we all quarantined for 14 days. She was just re-tested and is now clear. My father is in Concordia. It has been a rocky road trying to visit and make sure he has everything he needs. The staff has been wonderful with all of the residents and they have kept the families informed!
The High Holy Days are over, the Temple David mailings will now just be the usual ones, LOL!
I heard that all of the Zoom High Holy Day services went extremely well. I hope that you and your families were able to share some time with each other in this crazy time we are living in.
As much as I liked to say that I needed some quiet time in the office…it is much too quiet! I do miss the little people and some of you who would pop in just to say hi. You can still do that by sending me an e-mail or just giving me a quick call just to say hi! It would be great!
Please remember to be safe and kind!
Love to all!

Shalom, Happy New Year! I wish you and your family a happy, healthy, loving and peaceful New Year.
20 years! Can you believe it has been that long since I came to Temple David? I want to thank those who sent donations, cards, phone calls, and hugs congratulating me on my 20 years. My biggest “Thank You” is for those who were able to attend the wonderful “Happy Hour” that Reena Goldberg and her helpers (you know who you are) held for this milestone. To everyone who spoke, I am sincerely humbled by your thoughtful words and expressions of appreciation.
PLEASE always read your bulletin. The bulletin provides all the information you need to know about what’s happening at TD…from classes to events to dinner and services and more importantly our security procedures. We work very hard to make sure you have all the most up to date information. Jay Goodman works even harder to make sure we do not miss anything. Thanks Jay! And to save you from making a phone call to the temple office, please check the web calendar (www.templedavid.org/calendar) as it is updated regularly.
One last item, your 2019 Tax letters will be mailed by January 15.
Please remember to be safe and kind!
Love to all!
Beverly
