Christmas Day Mitzvah Volunteers at Concordia
Saturday, December 25
Are you looking to do a mitzvah on Christmas day? You can volunteer at Concordia to visit with the residents and play bingo!
We are hoping to find three to five volunteers from 1-3 p.m. on Christmas Day to visit with residents in the great room, and let the residents know that they are not alone during the holiday season, and give the program coordinators time to spend with their families on Christmas.
Requirements:
- Volunteers must be over 18 years of age
- Volunteers must wear a mask
- Volunteers must be vaccinated against COVID-19
To volunteer, contact Carol Singer at 412-372-0641 or cesinger0461@gmail.com
Concordia is located at 4363 Northern Pike near Temple David and across from #4 firehouse.

Volunteer Opportunities
with AgeWell Pittsburgh
There are two ways to volunteer your time with AgeWell Pittsburgh—both help seniors in our community stay active, connected, and content! AgeWell Rides, our senior transportation program that helps keep seniors on the go, is proud to introduce its sister program AgeWell Visits. Seniors age 65+ can request a friendly visit in their home from a volunteer who has been screened and trained —someone who can spend time listening and sharing small tasks and activities. If you or someone you know could benefit from a friendly visit, please call AgeWell Pittsburgh at 412-422-0400 for more information.
We are actively seeking volunteers of all ages who are interested in keeping company with seniors. Young families with children, high school students (who will visit in pairs) and adults of all ages are needed as volunteers. All volunteers will attend a 1-hour information session. Group training can be arranged at your convenience. Jewish Family & Children’s Service will process and pay for your criminal background check.
To find out more information, please go online at bit.ly/agewellvisits, or call us at 412-422-0400, or send an email to agewellvisits@jfcspgh.org. We need you to help make a difference in a senior’s life!
