Rabbi Robert A. Jacobs
Rabbi Jacobs comes to us from a long career as a Rabbi and Administrator.
He received his Master of Arts in Hebrew Letters from Hebrew Union College in 1973 and was ordained in 1975. Since his Ordination Rabbi Jacobs has served as Rabbi in several congregations in California, New York and Maryland. One of his most interesting positions was as Rabbi of Bet David Congregation in Johannesburg, South Africa, 2007-2014.
Another accomplishment of Rabbi Jacobs was serving as executive director, Leo Baeck Institute in New York City while also serving as a full-time Rabbi.
In 2015, Rabbi Jacobs retired from full time Rabbinic work, yet continued to study and lead some Shabbat and Holiday services and life cycle events.
In 2022, Rabbi Jacobs made the decision to pursue Intentional Interim Rabbi Training and beginning in July 2023, Rabbi Jacobs served as Interim Rabbi for Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas, and is now serving Temple David.
